Adaptive teaching
My biggest asset is adaptive teaching. I take what a group needs as input and build a tailored, interactive session in which we explore the opportunities together. Nothing off the shelf.
How I teach
- I start from your work: your tasks, your data, your questions.
- We build things. Small, real applications, not slides about applications.
- Expert-led, AI-assisted. I stay responsible for what is taught, and AI helps me adapt the material to the room as we go.
- Programming is just a way of giving computers instructions. Once people see that, a lot of the fear goes away.

How I got here
- Taught for SAP at its Austrian headquarters in Vienna.
- Formed several development teams and learned what makes them work.
- Onboarded junior developers with little or no experience. Today they are great developers.
- Raised a child. Nothing teaches you more about explaining things than someone who keeps asking why.
- Taught several semesters of students at the University of Graz how software development works.
- Built my own classroom tools: synchronised slides, live polls and anonymous questions.
- Found out how much expert-led, AI-assisted teaching changes what a single session can do. It made me a different teacher.
