  1. Date: Teaching at the University of Graz Proseminar Applied Systems Sciences 1, in German and English, with classroom tools I built myself.
  2. Date: PhD and research at the Chair of Systems Science University assistant and PhD candidate under Prof. Ulrich Frey at the Institute of Environmental Systems Sciences, University of Graz. PhD project: Mapping Cross-Domain Solution Spaces, a hierarchical graph approach to biomimetic analogy discovery.
  3. Date: MSc Sustainability and Innovation Management Environmental System Sciences, University of Graz, finished full-time. Thesis on automatically detecting threat- and solution-oriented climate framing in German newspapers, supervised by Marie Kogler.
  4. Date: All in Went full-time on the master's and on research into AI.
  5. Date: Advising startups Helped founders shape the vision for their software architecture and build healthy development teams.
  6. Date: ChatGPT is released I tried it in the first days and knew this would change everything: how software is built, how companies work, how people learn.
  7. Date: Back to university, part-time Started the master's in Sustainability and Innovation Management next to my job.
  8. Date: 2020–2024 Senior developer and team lead at CFS GmbH Designed and built avaAssist, an inclusive web platform that connects people with disabilities with personal assistants: matching, scheduling, communication, time tracking and administration. GDPR compliant, in line with government privacy requirements and accessible for people with all kinds of disabilities. Led the developers who built it. avaAssist
  9. Date: 2015–2017 SAP consultant at XulT GmbH Led major go-lives in the SAP modules SD, MM and WM and developed autonomous intercompany processes. Taught for SAP at its Austrian headquarters in Vienna.
  10. Date: 2014–2018 BSc Environmental System Sciences, Economics University of Graz. Bachelor's thesis on what the collapse of the Soviet Union did to Cuba's food supply.
  11. Date: 2007–2012 Learning to program Informatics at HTBLA Grieskirchen.

Where I work

At the Chair of Systems Science, Institute of Environmental Systems Sciences, University of Graz, under Prof. Ulrich Frey (who, as an aside, worked with Elinor Ostrom on commons research). Our main interest is large-scale data analysis and interdisciplinary knowledge discovery. My part is connecting that with how companies actually work.
